Kansas City, MO: Lookandfeel new media, a Kansas City-based interactive marketing firm, announces the recent launch of its Lee Jean’s fitFinder Web site. The Lee fitFinder was created for the Lee Apparel Company, maker of Lee Jeans. "We created the site using a dressing room concept to mimic the consumers in-store experience,” stated Charlie O’Shields, creative director of lookandfeel. “By using their existing POP (point-of-purchase) displays and fixtures, we created a design that has an elegant interface, yet a unique look that strengthens the Lee brand."
The latest edition of the Lee fitFinder utilizes Macromedia Flash and Active Server Page language (ASP) to create an extremely intelligent interface. The “dressing room” concept allows visitors to find the perfect size and jean to fit them. “Although the interface, created using Macromedia Flash, is simple to use on the surface, behind-the-scenes is a complex framework of ASP code that pulls text from a database allowing the site to be easily changed or updated on the fly,” continued O’Shields. The result is a surprisingly simple and chic site that engages users, while giving them valuable information that is unique to them.
“Lookandfeel new media has delivered the functionality and style that allows Lee to set the online standard in the apparel industry,” said Nancy McDonald of the Lee Apparel Company. “The use of Flash adds a dynamic element to the design and helps
our consumers make the connection between Lee's online and in-store communications,” continued McDonald. “We want to simplify our consumers shopping experience, and the fitFinder definitely helps them do that. They can use the fitFinder and then go to any one of our retailers knowing exactly what to look for.”

The Lee FitFinder site has won several awards for its superb design. It received Macromedia’s Site of the Day on July 17th, as well as recognition on FlashKit, a developers’ site that displays notable work in Flash. In addition, Denmark’s Cool Web Design recognized FitFinder’s excellent navigation in international design. “It is a great acknowledgement for both lookandfeel new media and our client, Lee Jeans,” said J.P. Keown, sales and marketing manager for lookandfeel. “Everyday we strive to create interactive solutions for our clients that don’t simply use technology and design, but rather push it to its limits.”
