Wyclef Jeans’ “Party by the Sea” engulfs BET’s 106 & Park

Miami, Fl June 30, 2004 -- Wyclef Jean, T-Vice and Buju Banton’s efforts in the carnival –vibe video, “Party by the Sea”, can now be viewed on BET’s 106 & Park..

On Point Entertainment and Marketing Inc., the Miami-based marketing firm that produced the video is pleased at its release and success on the high-rated video countdown show. “It was an honor for me to be working with those legends on the same set,” said Kolby Best, Assistant Producer out of Point Blank Visions “That video exposed a lot of people to the Caribbean vibe, no one put on an act, it was real.”

The video included an onslaught of high-profile guests and artists as well as city locals who were casted to parade in a carnival of culture. Wyclef Jean, alongside the Haitian –quad T-Vice and Buju Banton, joined forces to replicate Caribbean islanders having fun and unifying in the fight with Haiti. “It was an experience trying to make sure the video portrayed the various cultures of the Caribbean,” said Beast, the videos Director, “I’ve been in this business for over twenty years and the most challenging aspect of this video was the time –frame. A great help came from the location we used,” said Beast, giving credit to Jimbos’ a Miami-eatery, the Miami Mayors office and Buggah D. Govannah and staff at On Point Entertainment and Marketing Inc.,.

Wyclef Jean’s main focus for the video was to use the production as a platform to urge Haitian’s to be strong and civil in the face of political oppression. Jean held a press conference where he commented on the state-of-Haiti and how neighboring Caribbean islanders continue to stand shoulder-to-shoulder to support the island nation in its move forward. “Party by the Sea” is poised for continual rotation on various major television networks. Call or e-mail BET’s 106 and Park and request “Party by the Sea”.
